Speaking

Giselle Bisson is a Silicon Valley technology storyteller, GTM narrative strategist, and former technology journalist who has spent more than four decades helping people understand what comes next.

I’ve been teaching startups how to start up for over a decade. (Here speaking from Wilson Sonsini in Palo Alto.)
Speaking and presenting to highly technical audiences on Zoom and virtually is actually extremely challenging.

Her career has spanned nearly every major wave of the technology revolution—from personal computing and graphical interfaces to the Internet, mobile, cloud, privacy technology, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence. She has helped launch and position more than 30 groundbreaking technology products and companies, working with startups and global technology brands including HP, Xerox PARC, Postini, CyberMedia, Purism, and others.

If you can speak here, in front of the most distracted audience on Earth in the middle of a 70 MPH storm, you can speak anywhere.

Today, Giselle focuses on the AI frontier, helping companies translate complex technology into compelling human stories that customers, investors, developers, and the public can understand and trust.

A longtime Founder Institute mentor, she has advised more than 100 founders and CEOs on storytelling, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.

Giselle brings a rare historical perspective to conversations about AI: she has spent her career watching technologies that once seemed impossible become indispensable. Her work explores the intersection of technology, storytelling, culture, and human behavior—and why the story we tell about the future can be just as important as the technology that creates it.

Giselle has presented hundreds of times as a mentor for startup incubators, and throughout Silicon Valley’s startup ecosystem including at:

  • AAMA
  • WSGR
  • Google
  • Perkins Coie
  • Microsoft
  • Ieee
  • StartupNext
  • Rocketspace

She studied storytelling for over 5 years with mentors including Rebecca Fisher (The Marsh) and performed as an onstage performance artist and storyteller during the early 2000s including performances at:

Burning Man center camp

Sierra Storytelling Festival

Porch light

I learned how to speak by studying performance art and storytelling first.
